We stayed in Heiskell at an affiliate of the Escapees Club. The people were friendly, the cost was reasonable, and we had twice-weekly concerts of downhome Appalachian music - the kind that used to be on the front porch, when people had them.

Here are a few pictures of homes in the hills surrounding us. I have no clue where one town ends and another begins, so we'll just say they are all in Heiskel!
