Steins Ghost Town, New Mexico
Taken with a Kodak 7440, adjusted with PhotoPlus

For some reason, a popular pastime in mining and railroad towns was hanging bits of bottles in the trees. The sun bleaches them to interesting colors, and when the wind blows, it's a nice wind chime.

Entrance to the guided tour portion of Steins.

Looks like the wagon and blacksmithing area.

Paul investigating the tools.

This is one of the original 2 bordello shops in Steins.

Paul pretends to have no interest in a bordello.

Colorful rusty roof on the bordello probably leaks anyway.

Interesting construction. There is adobe under the boards.

Loop of wire

Closer look.
